Zelensky Receives US Draft Peace Plan, to Discuss with Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has officially received a draft peace plan from the United States that his office says could “activate diplomacy” and help bring the war to a more peaceful resolution.

According to his presidential office, Zelenskyy met with U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and other senior U.S. military officials in Kyiv on November 20, 2025, during which he “outlined the fundamental principles” that matter to Ukraine. Following that meeting, both sides agreed to work on the proposal’s points “in a way that leads to a dignified end to the war.”

The Ukrainian statement added that Zelenskyy plans to discuss “the available diplomatic opportunities and the key points required to achieve peace” with U.S. President Donald Trump in the coming days.

Zelenskyy reiterated that Ukraine has sought peace “from the very first seconds of the Russian invasion,” and expressed readiness to cooperate “constructively” with the United States, as well as with partners across Europe and around the world, to achieve a real outcome.

While the full details of the plan have not been publicly disclosed, multiple reports suggest it is a 28-point proposal. According to some media outlets, the plan may demand significant concessions from Ukraine, including reducing its military size, limiting long-range weapons, and other terms seen by critics as favorable to Russia.

Zelenskyy’s office emphasized that any work on the plan will be done “honestly, promptly, and in a way that protects Ukraine’s dignity.”
